Established in 2018, Shiok Singaporean is a culinary destination that brings the authentic flavors of Singapore to Sri Lanka. Our story is rooted in a deep passion for seafood and Singaporean cuisine, cultivated over generations within the founding family.
Born into a family legacy in the seafood industry, our founder embarked on a transformative journey, forging a partnership with Ark Holdings Pte Ltd, a renowned Singaporean enterprise. This alliance, guided by the visionary leadership of Ark Holdings’ Chairman, Mr. Tai Toon Lim, paved the way for the creation of Shiok Singaporean.
Inspired by Mr. Lim’s love for the iconic Hainanese chicken rice, we set out to perfect this beloved dish under the tutelage of Chef John in Singapore. With unwavering dedication, we meticulously crafted authentic Singaporean flavors, ensuring each dish served at Shiok is a true reflection of the vibrant culinary heritage.
The opening of our first outlet at Colombo City Center marked the beginning of our mission to introduce Sri Lankans to the rich tapestry of Singaporean cuisine. The resounding success of this inaugural location led to the expansion of Shiok Singaporean, with the addition of a second outlet at the prestigious One Galle Face Mall, where we introduced the iconic laksa soup to our menu.
Today, Shiok Singaporean proudly operates two outlets, including our latest addition at Port City Colombo’s Beach Plaza. As we continue to share the unique tastes and aromas of Singapore with the growing community of food enthusiasts in Sri Lanka, we remain steadfast in our commitment to culinary excellence and the celebration of Singaporean culinary traditions.
